Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle on Tuesday announced $1.7 million in grants designed to protect and enhance the state’s coastal communities. The funds will be used to improve public recreational access to Lake Michigan and Lake Superior, wetland preservation, stormwater management, education, habitat protection and the protection of critical land.
